How do inanimate objects connect to children?? They’re just things. People projecting their opinion of a thing or how someone uses it has nothing to do with anything.
The only argument anyone has is what they assume someone does with it or how they intend to use it. Surmising what someone’s thoughts about it or why they have it and you don’t, because whatever it is isn’t something you desire to own, has nothing to do with anything. So there is no point.
All of this line of thinking is a pursuit of nosey bodies. Until someone commits a crime with whatever the inanimate object may be, there is no crime. It’s fascism masquerading as righteousness. Acting like the “thought police”.
I’d much rather someone use an inanimate object for whatever they’re purpose than harm another person. Basically it comes down to gov. shouldn’t be trying to legislate dolls of any kind. They’re not lethal. They be much better issuing permits for hammers, tools, and kitchen knives in as so much! Someone doing anything with a doll doesn’t 100% mean they’re practicing to do the same things with a real person. “Oh, watch out! I wanna brush your messy hair and give you a hug!”
It’s not the same as ballistic gel torsos that are used for target practice so someone can practice killing people. There IS no other purpose for that. And yet it’s illegal to make any target look like a person. But shapes and silhouettes are just fine! Am I breaking the law if I buy a doll and use it for target practice?
