About the Surviving CSA category

Prevention isn’t always possible. How can survivors of CSA be heard and supported?

Some time ago, I formulated a few thoughts on this on suh-ev.de. Doppelbetroffenheit | Schicksal und Herausforderung

What I find very important as a CSA survivor is that you are not judged for your feelings and thoughts. For example, many therapists refuse treatment if someone has experienced CSA and is a pedophile. Some German associations and aid organizations leave CSA survivors completely alone. I once read in a forum for abuse victims that you should disappear if you are a pedophile. It feels like our suffering has less value and meaning. CSA survivors should be much more involved, and never should people make the mistake of expecting victimhood. It hasn’t done me any good in my personal history to be expected to be and feel like someone who is broken. We are not, and we have the right to tell our different stories! I think I’m going to open a separate thread on that question. I have lots of ideas for that.
