This rabbit-hole goes very deep and we have probably seen it in the media a lot of times.
It largely applies to sentences too, even if two people were to do the same thing.
There is a very clear bias, that is most certain. I feel it partially involves a mix of sympathy, pity, objectification, and naivety. Maybe some sexism here. Quite bewildering, I say.
