A German University (University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf) is doing research on Sex Dolls and Sex Robots. They are trying to see if these dolls can effect someones sexuality, to undermine ongoing discussions in this field with facts instead of emotions:
The purpose of this study is to study the use of sex/love dolls and their possible influence of one’s own sexuality. We also want to find out how humanlike the dolls are perceived to be and whether this relates to the perception of others. Finally, we’ll ask about your preferences regarding future development of sex robots.
It’s all anonymous too:
and no personal information will be collected except for a few details such as age and gender (no name, address or other data that could identify you). All information collected during the research process will be strictly confidential . Data obtained during the research are stored as encrypted information on a secured computer. The data will be analyzed statistically, whereby personal identification is not possible .
