I am disappointed that there are not more organizations who criticize that.
Similarly, in Germany it is now somewhat established to call CSA a “murder of the soul”. I can’t help but feel that this is a horrible message to send CSA survivors, telling them basically that they are as good as dead and will never be whole and happy again. While it is true that CSA affects many survivors for the rest of their life, many also manage to learn to live with it over time and through therapy. I feel that victim organizations should focus more on this instead of telling their clients that their soul is now irreparably damaged and will never be whole again.
