I figured I’d see what this thread contains. I’ll be my laconic self and post this.
Some prefer a fictional relationship they know is fictional to a relationship that’s tethered to deception. One is no more real than the other.
I think of my dolls as dolls. I like my dolls literally as dolls. I think it’s fun to think of a doll as a doll.
I mean, if an attractive alien could be an intimate partner, what necessitates that an intimate partner be a person?
What needs to be considered is that not everyone wants other than what is sought.
Though many would love a wife with supermodel looks, they are nonetheless content. Doll ownership may not be ideal, but it might be enough for some. Having a doll is not too much to ask for in one’s pursuit of happiness.
I wish I could have a doll. I sometimes browse them just to look at the images (Anime dolls) and it honestly makes me sad.
There is nothing more vile and disgusting than a society who screams tolerance and freedom while treating us like this.
In a dictatorship I would feel much more mentally well, because I wouldn’t be the only one being suppressed (shared pain). In the west you see everyone around you enjoy life. Saying how “nobody should be discriminated for what they didn’t choose” while posting wood chipper memes.
It is the double standard, the holier than thou attitude which drives me insane. “No, guys we cannot ban this because you have to proof its harm first!”. Meanwhile for dolls:
“Hey, is there any empirical evidence?”
“Nope”
“I mean it is disgusting, so who cares. It would also save us the question since a ban would make research impossible”
“Win-win” high five
“You’re a criminal now, because you decided real children weren’t good enough, and you had the audacity to go and buy a fake doll instead of harming a child. How dare you. You disgust all of us.”
Of course it’s going to affect people, when this fabricated extreme translation has too good of a fitment into an otherwise noble and honorable cause of reducing child exploitation.
This is a very confusing and tough pill to swallow, that is being shoved down throats.
