Swedish parliament demands worldwide purge of Child-like sex dolls

For international observers, this move demonstrates Sweden’s proactive stance on digital child protection. The country often pioneers legislation that later spreads throughout the Nordic region and beyond.

Lawmakers want internet giants to stop selling the child-like sex dolls online.

Every empiric study confirms there is no harm, so this is encouraging child abuse more than anything. This really makes me angry as it wastes resources that actual children could need. For what? A never ending war that is impossible to win.

Sweden’s approach contrasts with some other European countries. Germany has debated legalizing child-like sex dolls for therapeutic purposes, while Britain has banned them entirely.

GERMANY WAKE UP! I definitely believe that the judges are aware of this EU-wide moral panic right now and probably have their own reservations. It is impossible to avoid in the news. Ruling on this issue now in a positive way would force these idiots to take the science serious for once.

Worldwide!!!???

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

It is not funny, because the EU as a whole can definetly restrict worldwide trade of these dolls. Sweden has pressured the EU and France as well. Everyone in the EU agrees that something must be done.

Only small national websites would survive, or not if they start treating it like real CSAM. Allowing prosecution of foreigners in e. g. Japan and ignoring national law.

Sounds like communist China prosecuting foreigners for breaking its “Hong Kong national security laws”.

The problem with EU countries and ex-British colonies, including Great Britain; is that they think the rest of the world should acquiesce to whatever laws they prefer in their gov. They believe the WEF and their opinions are enough to get any other country to sway and fold. How delusion-ally presumptuous of them.

One country cannot prosecute a foreign citizen living in a foreign country for “breaking”, more like ignoring, one of their own country’s laws. It’s beyond laughable! It would be like any communist country forcing foreigners living in their own prospective countries to follow their laws. It’s beyond any sort of reason. Complete fantasy.

These are the same ideas I find with progressives. “Do what I say because I said so.” Are we all still in grade school?? China’s not going to do anything about dolls. Far as I knew a few years ago it was a $4.1B business. Their not about to roll it back because of prudes.

The bigger problem for future customers will be customs in any country that decides to go along with these puritanical ideals. Here in the U.S. the problem will be the narrative that’s being sold wholesale. ‘that dolls are the problem and not people’ Politicians assume anyone owning one is using it for it’s “intended” purpose. It’s like saying people shouldn’t collect guns and hang them on the wall. Or expensive wines only to put them in a cellar. No different than they’ve tried to do with guns, drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. These ideas are all Puritanism at the core. Religious zealotry.

The other assumption they’re pushing IS the idea of equivalence. That dolls are the same as a real person. That dolls are the same as porn. It’s ludacrous!! That anyone owning a doll MUST be in possession of CSAM. These are all dangerous ideas that attempt to eliminate privacy and circumvent the U.S. Bill of Rights. We don’t live under a One World gov. As much as those in power would like to happen and people to believe.

Literally nobody cares about these outlets except Japan. When the EU wants to be moral crybabies and sanction everyone through their DSA or threaten to deny access to the european market then every major platform will obey.

It sucks, but nobody would sacrifice a huge world market just for child-like sex dolls.

“..but nobody would sacrifice a huge world market just for child-like sex dolls.”

This is wrong-think. Quite an assumption on your part.

France is having a hissy fit because they were being sold through Shein and other retailers. Now they’re about to punish the retailers, not China. China’s not about to stop making them. If everyone boycotted goods from China, they’d be crying for gov. subsidies to afford to buy the same things made in their own country. Bye bye inexpensive “designer” brands, computer chips, and other tech. And inexpensive household items people buy everyday.

No one in America has ever succeeded in boycotting Walmart because they sell cheap goods from China, hurting American jobs. That would be “the right” thing for people to do. But they never will. People want to pay less for things and will pay for the things they really want regardless.

Otherwise Lamborghinis and Ferraris wouldn’t cost so much. You think they’re gonna lower the price because people complain? You think they’re going to stop making them because countries block the importing of them because they “waste too much gas”? Nonsense!! Wealthy people will always want them and will always acquire them.

You don’t get to have it both ways. Inexpensive goods with a caveat of them not producing dolls that make them money elsewhere. It’s more baby-think. Trying to attach strings to things.

I assure you, the thriving worldwide sales will continue. The Japanese are not the only ones who want them. There are millions of people worldwide that care about “these outlets”, such as lolicon, shotacon, and anime. Now Ai porn.

The doll community will continue to buy them. And in the U.S., there are probably a staggering amount of doll owners that know one knows exists. Since sales haven’t diminished, only continue to increase. Otherwise they’d slow down production, which has only increased in the past 3 years. Chinese companies would stop coming out with new models. Whatever they try to do, it won’t stop people from wanting and acquiring them. Just like they haven’t stopped people from buying drugs.

Again, you cannot force your will on a free country where people have rights and freedoms. And you can’t coerce another country to bow to your will like an obedient slave. They’re good for China’s economy. A surprising number are even sold within China. Another black market will arise.

I predict that if the Puritanical in power continue on their course of winning the “feel good” vote and pat themselves on the backs as “the good guys”; instead of making the world safer for children; they will only succeed in making it more dangerous for them. Yet what have these useless “tools” done to put an end to the human trafficking and the women and child sex slave markets? The traffickers and slave traders? Smugglers? Not a bloody thing!!

And isn’t Sweden the rape-of-young-girls-and-children capital of the world because of their immigration policies? Why don’t they worry about fixing their own problems?

I get it, but the EU is filled with puritans right now and a bunch of far right parties on the rise. I honestly cannot take all this moral outrage serious when everyone knows that many EU nations have the lowest age of consent in the modern world.

Here is a great example:

This is totally fine and legal, but a piece of plastic is not. You would expect outrage and immediate proposals to raise the AoC, but none of that happened. A piece of plastic got more attention and outrage…

these people want to lecture so-called ‘perverts’ over their choice to use a doll or consume wholly fictional content, yet their legal systems are structured in such a way where this type of crap is possible.

They should raise everything to 21. Why not. Can’t drink alcohol in the U.S until you’re 21. Yet you can drive at 16 or 17, depending on the state. Still can’t consent to sex though, hhmm?
But can buy tobacco products at 18. Buy porn, enter an adult sex store and purchase toys. Join the military. Consent to sex. Considered an adult. Still can’t drink?? Why? Unable to make wise decisions at that age?

So let’s raise sexual consent, buying porn or shopping at an adults-only store, driving priviledges, military service, purchase of tobacco products; all to 21. After you would have graduated college and can make sensible decisions. Yeah, that’s a great idea!

And 14 and 15yos can consent to sex and marriage in those countries yet can’t smoke, drink, drive, or join the military. I’m so confused??

This comment did not age well. Insane how the world can change within two weeks. It is a huge blow to the community. Some companies apparently just gave up and stopped all operations.

If by “age well”, you mean the past two weeks, give it some more time. Unless you have a time machine and can see more than five or ten years from now?

We’ll see what happens even 6 months from now. I feel another black market industry may about to be born perhaps? Or an operation in a “don’t care” country? Either way, they are now a rare and valuable commodity. Someone, somewhere, may be about to become very rich? Once again, “they” haven’t seemed to stop the drug trade after 40 years!

But I doubt the adult doll market will surge either. It’ll likely hurt the entire “legal” doll market. Some companies may or may not start pushing the envelope. Others will fade away and die. And so far as I know, The Doll House (UK) fought and won for the G cup, Piper 140cm dolls to be considered “petite adult” sized dolls. With Ariel being considered an anime style face, not a “child”. Akira and the others have young yet mature looking faces.

The world acts like similar, adult women don’t exist. Rare as they are, they do exist. Women with small breasts and young looking features should be outraged at all of this!! The rest of the world is in essence saying they don’t count as adults. It’s another blow from the averagest of feminists. I’m aware of several women (one, a friend’s wife), who look amazingly young for their age. And get super pissed when they answer the phone and the caller asks if their mom is available. And she’s in her 40s with 5 teenagers!

The modelling industry and media advertising has always gone for super skinny, petite, young looking faces to be the face of advertising and professional models. Tall or petite. No matter how other homely and average looking, lazy, fat-ass women have protested. (Keyword=”lazy”) That claim it puts too much pressure on young girls who don’t have any of those qualities. Even though, they all aspire to be accepted as such. That’s a personal problem of theirs.

This is what pushed the world into inclusivity and participation awards. “Plus-sized” and average looking models being placed in ads where they don’t fit. Forcing the public to embrace their “averageness” or lack of ability. Shit like DEI (“didn’t earn it”).

And on that note; industry shouldn’t be forced into hiring substandard, unqualified help because someone was lazy and wouldn’t work to get educated. Now it’s discrimination not to hire unqualified people; whether it’s their physicality or mental capacity. Why is anything someone disagrees with suddenly a “for-or-against” issue? Labelling a person a hater or an evil person when they disagree with a false narrative? A “you-must-hate-____, ‘cause you dint hire them or gib dem a award!!” It’s all a false dilemma and fear-of-being-labelled tactic used to get people to fall in line with their opinion and follow the herd.

Then there’s some girls/women who act as if they’re supermodel material, even though it’s clear to everyone they’re not! That’s over-blown ego!! Either you’re born with good looks, a young looking face, a “perfect body”; or you’re not. You can look however you look and still be a narcissist.

Those same girls shouldn’t blame an industry for their insecurities about themselves. They should blame shitty parenting. Accepting and embracing one’s own self is a matter of confidence. They should’ve been taught that looks don’t matter. It’s what’s on the inside. That using your brain is a good thing! There are real women, with great personalities, who actually exude that kind of confidence, embrace who they are. That they’re OK for who they are. I find that to be attractive, regardless of my physical attractions. Society and religion’s to blame for being so judgmental about everyone and almost everything.

I have no desire to violate any trust or have physical relations with any young person. I truly enjoy the view! Even with my dolls, they’re beautiful and cute, they’re emotional support for me. In the same way emotional support animals are now allowed most places whereas pets are not. Why can’t society accept that some of us have emotional support dolls? Why criminalize everyone for having them due to supossistic intent? Why not criminalize a person bringing their “pet” into a store or on an airplane? Or for owning kitchen knives that “may/possibly/could be” used to murder someone?
