This discussion was getting a little silly. As a 2nd Amendment advocate, living in a very restrictive state, I have done some research on this. The SCOTUS ruled that “arms” are bearable instruments for offense or defense. That means no nukes or cannons. They also ruled that weapons in common use by law abiding people for lawful purposes are not to be banned. That lets out machine guns and hand grenades as well. Any arm that is dangerous and unusual can be banned as well. Think suitcase guns and other sorts of James Bond type weapons. Handguns, rifles, shotguns and knives are allowed. If a case ever gets to the court, the assault weapon bans in some states will probably be ruled unconstitutional.
